History of the Poplars Hotel
The Poplars first opened as a hotel in 1929 and has been totally refurbished by the present resident proprietors, Jean and Cliff Jefferies.
The Poplars is a very spacious property in an exceptional setting, overlooking the bay in Combe Martin and offers exceptional accommodation in North Devon. We have been successfully operating for many years and have a large and loyal customer base who have appreciated the high level of service provided. The accommodation is generous and gives our guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy this beautiful part of the country.

The accommodation offers: a large dining room; a spacious and well equipped lounge and bar; a TV lounge; a games room with a pool table, other games and books; and has eleven well equipped bedrooms.
The ten bedrooms are all en-suite. All bedrooms have generous Courtesy Trays with tea/coffee making facilities; shaver points; colour remote controlled digital TVs. Some bedrooms have private balconies and sea views.
Swimming Pool at the Poplars
In the large gardens there is a good sized swimming pool and adjacent sun terrace overlooking Combe Martin Bay, North Devon.
The best place to be in the evening is in the bar with Cliff, having a quiet drink with friends and family, and being entertained in a way that is unique to the Poplars, and hopefully you will come back time and time again.
