CHRISTMAS AT THE POPLARS

If you fancy a lovely Christmas break, and would like Christmas in Combe Martin, Devon, with someone else cooking all the food, and having a friendly cosy bar with congenial company, then why not let us give you a Christmas that you will remember. Combe Martin is a wonderful location at any time of year, but at this time of year we plan a 3 day break full of everything you could want for your holiday. Just take a look at the programme below.

We have been providing these breaks for some time and believe that the mix of activities we offer are based on what our customers really like and when you leave us we hope that you will book ahead for next year!

When you are in Combe Martin over this period you will really appreciate rural Devon at its very best. Christmas in Devon is so special - the summer rush is over and you and your family can settle down, lean back and let someone else look after you. You will be in good company at our hotel.

If you fancy a bit of fresh air, where better than being on the edge of Exmoor? You may have been watching those programmes with Johnny on Exmoor but nothing beats actually being there to fully experience how beautiful rural Devon and particularly Exmoor can be.

CHRISTMAS 2011 PROGRAMME

SATURDAY 24th December:

Arrive any time after lunch to a Tea & Mince Pie welcome. A CANDLELIT DINNER at 7pm followed by a singalong in the bar.

CHRISTMAS DAY:

After a Christmas breakfast, join Cliff and Jean in the bar for “Bucks Fizz” when Santa is expected with presents for all. AT 1.30pm pre-lunch drinks will be served followed by a full TRADITIONAL LUNCHEON starting at 2pm

CHRISTMAS NIGHT:

A sumptuous buffet will be laid out in the dining room from 8pm which you may eat at your leisure until 10pm during which games will be played followed by music and dancing.

BOXING DAY:

BRUNCH will be served at 10am. Afternoon tea served from 3pm.

EVENING:

A mouth watering hot & cold buffet will again be served from 8pm - 10pm during which time a Fancy Dress party will be held in the bar with prizes for the most original outfit (optional of course but most guests usually take part) accompanied by music and dancing.

TUESDAY 27th:

Breakfast as usual then we say “Au Revoir” to our guests who depart at their leisure.
